Web Standards
Many website designers will advertise that their sites are 'Standards Compliant' or 'Conform to W3C' or 'Transitional XHTML' etc. Ensuring that a site conforms to these standards is an ideal that takes extra time to achieve. Our sites will all be at least 'nearly' Standards Compliant in the same way as industry standard sites such as the BBC or British Airways are 'nearly' compliant. In the case where there is no Flash content or minimal customised functionality, then your site will almost certainly be Standards Compliant. One thing for sure is that your site will work for all visitors and do the job you want it to do. Web BrowsersYou may be aware that the browser you use (Internet Explorer (IE6&7), Firefox, Safari etc) has some influence on the web browsing experience that you have. A well designed site will appear largely the same in the vast majority of browsers. A poorly designed one may appear 'broken' in some browsers even though it looks great in another. All our sites are guaranteed to work in all the major browsers.
Search Engine OptimisationYou want people to find your web-pages, so any site designed by us will be constructed in such a way as to optimise its suitability to be ranked highly in search engine listings. This is not a guarantee of a high placing but removes a technical barrier that some sites have inadvertently built in. |
